How I Got Started
I've always believed the power of food to connect people in a way that nothing else can. I grew up baking alongside my mom, a wedding cake designer, who also learned many recipes from her mom. After teaching abroad in Shanghai and baking for my students here in the Bay Area, I realized that baking has a role in my life that's bigger than just a hobby.
It wasn't until my trip to Mexico City with my family in 2023 that changed everything. I was inspired by a churro-making class and thought I could use my grandma's chocolate chip cookies to connect with the world. After coming back to San Francisco, I started hosting cookie classes to teach people my grandma's recipe, how to taste chocolates and a brief history lesson on the popular American dessert. Since 2023, over 500 guests have joined to create, learn, and connect over warm cookies and unforgettable experiences.
