Hi again! I’m Brennan, the founder of Golden Gate Cookie Co.

 

My passion for baking began in my childhood kitchen, watching my mom—a wedding cake designer—transform simple ingredients into something beautiful, delicious and meaningful. I learned early on that baking is more than just a skill; it’s an act of love, and that idea has shaped who I am.

 

After spending the majority of my 20s abroad in China and Mexico immersing myself in different cultures, I returned to San Francisco as a teacher, where I would occasionally bake for my students. I loved seeing their faces light up with a simple cookie or brownie, and I realized that I wanted to bring that joy to a larger community. A family trip to Mexico City truly inspired me to make my biggest life decision: turn this passion into a business, combining baking with storytelling and shared experiences.

 

In 2023, I started Golden Gate Cookie Co. in my home kitchen, where I welcome people from all walks of life to roll up their sleeves, bake, learn and bond together. Our experiences go beyond baking classes; we create connections. From sharing my grandma’s cookie recipe to hosting hands-on chocolate tastings, my goal is to offer a space where guests can bond over desserts, laughter and a bit of history.

 

Since starting, I’ve had the privilege of hosting over 500 guests, each bringing their own story and energy to my cozy kitchen. Watching people connect over chocolate chip cookies—whether friends, family or complete strangers—has been my favorite thing about teaching this cookie class.
